Structure

The Lapland Institute for Tourism Research and Education will become Finland's leading education and research centre for tourism. The institute encompasses tourism studies building on the tourism research of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Lapland; the fields of tourism, catering, and economy at Rovaniemi University of Applied Sciences; and the fields of tourism, catering, and economy at the Lapland Vocational College. In addition, the institute’s network includes the Lapland Centre of Expertise for the Experience Industry, the East Lapland Vocational College, the Sámi Education Institute, and the tourism expertise offered by the Kemi-Tornionlaakso Municipal Education and Training Consortium Lappia.
